Cam Smith

Cam Smith had known David Hodges for years as a friend and as a professional. She had a long career as a recruiter for a large regional law firm, and after her children were older, worked in administrative capacities for another firm. David had always found Cam to be a very organized, capable, and well-connected professional. So when it was time to hire someone to manage the details of his complex schedule, and to connect with clients in a warm and engaging manner, David knew Cam would be a great fit.

Cam accepted the challenge to learn about an entirely new industry. She joined the team in 2014 and is thrilled to experience this second career. Most of all, she enjoys being able to meet and help people on a daily basis. “This is a great team of intelligent, capable people, and everyone has a great sense of humor, which makes it a delightful place to work,” says Cam.

Cam’s organizational skills and attention to detail are of additional benefit to David’s practice in yet another capacity. When she is not reaching out to clients, Cam assists with the important behind-the-scenes work of managing the policy underwriting process. This includes reviewing applications, following up with insurers, and making sure to communicate with clients from start to finish.

Cam is a graduate of Clemson University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is married to Emory, an attorney, with whom she has a son and daughter, and a third “child” – a “fabulous pet beagle,” named Peak.
